Face Reality 5% Glycolic Serum is a corrective acne treatment for exfoliating and addressing blackheads and bumps under the skin (maturation arrest acne).
 
 
This alpha-hydroxy acid serum uses 5% glycolic acid to exfoliate dead skin cells on the surface of the skin and help eliminate blackheads and “pebbles” under the skin (maturation arrest acne), while also keeping further breakouts at bay. Glycolic acid has the smallest molecular weight of all the alpha-hydroxy acids and penetrates the pore more quickly to effectively clear these types of acne.

We love this serum for normal, combination, and oily skin types trying to address blackheads and adult maturation arrest acne.
 
We recommend starting with Face Reality 5% Glycolic Serum. Once you have completed that bottle, if you are still experiencing blackheads and pebbles or excess oil move to the 10% Glycolic Serum. If you are experiencing dry skin or inflammation, do not increase strength. 
 
Face Reality Glycolic Serums may be layered under mandelic serums, vitamin A correctives, or Acne Med as prescribed by your AOS Acne Specialist.
 
HOW TO USE
After cleansing and toning, apply 1 pump to face, or affected area, in the evening, layer with your favorite moisturizer. Be sure to follow with SPF when used in the AM. Always be sure to apply SPF in the AM when using this product.
